About Dr. Cody

Kate Cody, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist in both New York State and Connecticut, offering a unique expertise in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and co-occurring mental health conditions. Dr. Cody is currently in full time private practice, with offices at Spectrum Services in NYC, where she serves as the Director of Clinical Training and the Liaison of Clinical Services, and in New Canaan, CT.Dr. Cody specializes in providing psychological and neuropsychological evaluations to individuals of all ages, including adult Asperger’s Assessments, and ASD diagnostic assessments, and evaluations for individuals presenting with co-occurring mental health conditions.


Dr. Cody welcomes complex differential diagnosis diagnostic evaluations and is a sought-after clinician, particularly for adults searching for a first-time diagnosis. She helps her clients to understand their diagnosis and recognize their strengths and their needs. She aims to clarify and guide her clients in understanding and removing barriers that are hindering one’s ability to succeed. Dr. Cody also offers outpatient psychotherapy for individuals and families, utilizing a cognitive behavioral approach, integrating several different skills and techniques to tailor treatment to each one of her client’s needs. Dr. Cody also welcomes her client’s family and loved ones into treatment, helping each member of the unit thrive. Dr. Cody brings her expertise to school aged children, offering independent educational evaluations, and consultations in different school districts for students with ASD, in need of supports. She also offers community trainings, helping to educate the public and other clinicians on ASD and co-occurring mental health conditions. Dr. Cody enjoys supervising interns and externs in educational and clinical psychology, serving as the Training Director at Spectrum Services. Dr. Cody brings enthusiasm, honesty, and compassion to her work, every day, making treatment both enjoyable and fun for her clients.
